If winning is a priority for a school then kevin would be a good hire.
I do not see him leaving Shelby Valley. I know he has a pretty good deal there and they are not bad for Ky football

Where isn't winning a priority?...I only know of one that could care less about their FB team and it shows. But, IMO, if winning isn't a priority, you should just do away with the program to keep from wasting everyone's time and work.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....
Coach has proven he can win anywhere. He has taken terrible teams and turned them around. I think he would do the same at PH if that is where he wants to go.
look around our region. you and i both can name several programs where winning is not the top priority. obviously the head coach wants to win, but not always is the administration completely devoted to winning. some adminstrators are happy with coaches if parents aren't constantly in their office complaining about playing time and such. other coaches on this forum can and will tell you the same thing.

There's nothing at all wrong with Sanders. He's a man's man. I was around him for a year, had a class he ran weight lifting in. That man had some intensity, but at the end of the day, he talked to you like a human, man to man. Nice as could be. In order to win, you're not going to always be under the nicest person, parents need to learn to take it, and not [censored] about everything and try and hide their children away from the real world..experience is the best teacher.

And PH-Glade Spring is in the same county where a coach got fired for yelling at his players.
Turner could have done anything he wanted to his players and no one would have said anything, period. I have never been to a place where a person was more loved and respected than Appalachia and Coach Turner.

What has Saunders done that makes him such a great coach? Has he ever won a district title anywhere? It seems he had one good year at Wise (7-3 record I believe) and people think he's an icon. Jimbo and Tom had a whole lot less to work with at Norton and Appy and their accomplishments outweigh his by far. If they had the numbers like he did at Wise, they would have been unbeatable.
BTW...Coach Salyers seems to be doing a good job at Wise.

2007 ACC Champions!
The talent at both Appy and Burton outweighed that at Kelly by an enourmous gap, especially at Appy.
