I'm shocked that Vanover was player of the year. I wasn't able to attend very many of the games, and I know he had a good year but I'm still kinda shocked. Oh well, its good for the alma mater. Congrats to all!
yes congrats to all.

wow....mvp from a team that was what 2-20...
I dont get the Player of the year choice at all, that IMO was ridiculous and I think that the coach of the year shouldve pent to Jervis hands down

Welcome to the USSA!
I'm surprised that he got it. Not that I didn't think he deserved it, but I figured that the teams record/performance would hurt him.
I could have seen several other players as options, but just by looking at the other players on the the All-District, it would appear to me the other teams all more or less split, or had several players who lead them at various times, or in various categories. Vanover pretty much lead Clintwood in every category, every game, and that's with people knowing they had to focus on him.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
You just hit on why he should have gotten it Rock. No one in the league was as relied on as much as this young man was. Yes,it was a terrible season for the Wave, but without him the scores would have been a whole lot worse. When you hand out awards like MVP,you have to look at what a player does/how much he contributes to his squad, and EV was basically all the Wave had,and still put up solid numbers. Is he the best player in the league IMO? I think an argument can be made for a few folks, but EV did more/had to do more for his team than anybody else.

Central Warriors. Respect the past, embrace the future
He must not have been too valuable if he only helped his team win two games.
