They actually had no more than 5. Three of those 8 were balls in the outfield that were bobbled as the outfielder charged hard attempting to throw out a runner at the plate. The bobbles resulted in the outfielders not having an attempt at the plate to throw out the runner from 2nd. The batter didn't advance an extra base on any of those so really no error should have been recorded because you can't assume that the outfielder was going to throw out the runner. The official scoring for the tournament was questionable in all the games, reversing several rulings in the 3 games.
