Florida's D is softer than what Hawaii showed them to be last week. In the first half, Hawaii controlled the LOS with the ground game for the most part, and they don't have half the talent that Miami can trot out there both on the OL and at FB/RB. If/when Miami can establish the run, that takes the pressure off of the QB's, both freshmen, who will be using a lot of targets to go against an injury riddled Gaytors secondary.
Miami's D has depth issues up front, but got two major pieces back from injury in Eric Moncur & Allen Bailey at DE for this game. If the LB's (strength of the Miami D) can clean up anything that comes thru their gap responsibility as the DL penetrates, then they'll be OK. I think Miami's secondary has a good blend of youthful talent and talented experience, so I'm not afraid of Tebow having a career day thru the air.
Basically, to me, it all comes down to the running game. If Miami can contain Florida's, they can definitely win. If Florida can contain Miami's, it makes the game a lot easier for them.
Take all of that, plus the fact that Miami's being overlooked (-21.5 point underdog), and everyone's already crowning Tebow (cue Dennis Green) the best thing in football...I think it's brewing to be an upset. That's what I'll be rooting for, that's what I'm hoping for, and that's what I'm predicting:
Miami 31
Florida 24
