Re: TRIBE-Vikings
I disagree but it's all a mute point there (that dog already hunted). It is hard to execute any better than JJK's offense did Friday night. When we had the ball we scored, and we did it by long, grind it out drives. The Offensive Line has to be effective for that to happen. You can say that we didn't have burners and that is so,but you can't say that the O-line was bad.

Re: TRIBE-Vikings
Didn't say they didn't execute...but my point is they beat PV running the same 2 plays over and over and PV never adjusted....there's nothing to argue there.

Re: TRIBE-Vikings
Never adjusted,or did the JJK O-line move them around? We'll probably disagree there too (what else is new? lol)

Re: TRIBE-Vikings
Listen, PV is young. PV lost 21 seniors last year. There are 3 returning starters on Defense and 2 returning starters on offense. This team is one of PV's youngest and most inexperienced teams they have had. I understand this but you are a complete idiot if you believe that PV isn't leaving everything on the field after every game. That's how Vikings play young or not. Pinkston was on the field every play of the game as well as DC. I also know that PV wanted this game just as much as Kelly. Unfortunately someone has to loose.
I'll also add that Kelly played a very good game and came out with the win. Both teams played their hearts out.

Re: TRIBE-Vikings
You don't have to know alot about defense to stop what JJK was doing...and you don't have to know much about D to know the A gaps need a DT in em on the goal line. Moot point, but you don't stop anything sitting there waiting.

I am as anti-coddling and non-trophy for everyone as they come, but that wasn't what Sportsman was hitting on. </div></div>
Same thing I said about Clintwood in the 01 season I'm saying about PV this year. That was the worst Clintwood team since the late 80's. It wasn't a slam at the kids, it was a fact. The same as saying that this is the weakest PV team in almost 2 decades. It's a fact and whether it be because of talent, inexperience, effort, or the weather, they're not very good. Saying they are, patting them on the back, comending their effort, will not make them better. Hard work will and nothing else other than a major injection of talent is going to change that. As for Clintwood's upcoming teams, you said this same thing on here a few years ago. You're sounding like the Pound folks handing out varsity championships while the kids are in the 5th grade. I'll wait about 7-8 years and find out for myself.

Re: TRIBE-Vikings
Pretty sure I did not say the same thing a few years ago. You apparently have me mixed up with those Poundfolk you refer to. Cycles come and go at schools the size of the schools in our area. There's going to be good times, and there's going to be lean times, but throwing 'em under the bus isn't going to change the result, that's for sure.

Neither will lying to them, coddling them, and being afraid to tell them the truth.

Guess that makes both schools of thought wrong..ala two wrongs don't make a right then
