I wouldnt be getting too excited. This is a bad Hawaii team. Why do you think June Jones bolted for the mainland. This isnt the Hawaii of old, and they were not very good either.

I dont think this is the resurection of Notre Dame.

I hope we NEVER see it!! haha

Bad or not.. they put up the points against a Hawai'i team that took Cincy down to the wire. The whole country voted against Notre Dame in that espn poll last night. Notre Dame came out and took care of business. If thats the future, well for the next 2 years..I'll be satisfied in watching. Clausen was excellent last night, 22-26, 401 yards and 5 td's.. very nice

After the Hawaii Bowl, the 2009 preseason poll is becoming clearer.

    1. Oklahoma
    1. Notre Dame
    3. Alabama
    4. Texas
    5. Florida

Heisman : Jimmy Clausen by a landslide

The best team I've ever seen. They may win the next 3 NC's.
Oklahoma better thank God they're playing Florida and not Notre Dame. ND needs to keep Santa Clause in the pressbox.

They would have taken those Vols down this year, so I'd lay off all of that. No one is saying they wee great this year, but have and will continue to improve.

Ah, you never know. ND lost to Syracuse at home, Tenn lost to Wyoming at home. They both stunk it up this season. Two of the best games I have ever seen were between TN-ND. ND's win in Knoxville in '90, and the miracle in South Bend in '91. Classics.

Merry Christmas to everyone on this board.

After last season, a 7-6 season is such a drastic improvement to us fans. There was nothing to happy about last year, this year still kinda stunk but they are showing some life. Next year they will be a decent team, who knows maybe in 2 years they will be a pretty good team in a BCS bowl.

    Re: ND-Hawaii

Not only is Golden Tate pretty good but their other receiver Michael Floyd was just as good as Tate if not better in the middle of the season until he hurt his knee and he is a freshman. Kyle Rudolph who plays tight end is also a freshman. They should be pretty good in the upcoming years.
As I said in the other post, I hate the zone blocking scheme. I want to see them line up and pound on people.
There is no need to get into a "whizing" contest with who is better. I know you are just saying who you feel is better but it will be like when they talk about who is better between Va Tech-Tenn.
If Notre Dame wins, we are hated on, if they lose, they are hated on. Notre Dame is like the Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, and Celtics, you either love them or you hate them. You cannot win no matter what.
One thing I can say is ND graduates their football players over 90% of the time and that will get them futher on in life after their football is over at ND.
