    Maybe....

The new LPD forum discourages talk about prosports, IDK - but if not I can't believe there is no talk about A-Rod and steroids, even if the majority are Yankee fans(and yes, he didn't say/test positive for it while playing for them)......The fall of MLB................."Savior of Major League Baseball" HAHHAAH...........

    Re: Maybe....

He should have his ass banned. First off. Does this forum really discourage talk about pro sports?.

    Re: Maybe....

I mistyped that, my bad..... I meant to include a maybe as the first word I said...I really don't know if it discourages it or not, just hadn't seen a whole lot of it mentioned on the new forum....

But...I agree..He should be blackballed the same as Bonds before he further tarnishes any records...MLB's records for the most part are irrelevant these days...either owned by steroid user's or pitchers who threw the ball a million times year.

    Re: Maybe....

LOL You caught of guard on that one. I know some of these guys that post can tell you everything about the lpd you ever wanted to know. To me that is what makes this place the best.

But yeah he is making millions. That's no excuse. Under pressure he claims. Does that make make insider trading OK for stock brokers? I'm under pressure trying to pay the bills. Does that make it okay for me to scam people? I think he should be bannedd and any endorsement he got after knowing he failed it. He should have to pay back.

    Re: Maybe....

I like what Lance Berkman said yesterday. He said that everybody in the league is "guilty by association" which is very true and nobody is gonna believe you no matter you say now.

And as bad as it pains me to say this I agree with what .......................................Curt Schilling said yesterday too, he said "The three greatest players of our era are cheaters." He couldn't have said it better, that just puts a stamp on this whole era as being fake and pointless.

I just feel bad for the ones who actually did it the right way but will never get the respect because of the many who ruined it for them.

I respect the man for coming out and admitting to it at least. He's tainted now, but we won't have all the drama now that goes along with Bonds and Clemens who just wants to keep their name in the crosshairs so their still relevant.

I agree with you there, look at all the drama they are going through right now vs Andy Pettite, Jason Giambi, or A-Rod who came out of the closet.

Man, I hadn't really thought about it like that before, but it's true.

The things they did, while illegal, weren't against MLB rules when they did them...so I don't really look at them as cheaters. If you have to compete against athletes who are using performance enhancers...and your job and livlihood depends on your performance...then it's more a case of keeping up with the Jonses than cheating IMO.

I don't think anything illegal should have to be included in an official rulebook. If it's illegal, then you can't do it. Pretty simple concept.
