If you're getting your ass beat by SP and pull out a win in a nail biter, I wouldn't brag too much afterwords...matter of fact I'd go ahead and mark it down as a L anyway and it sure is a moral loss. SP is awful and if they didn't have Phillips, they're 10 times worse than that. The worse LPD team would still mop of the floor with either team, that's the most insane comment I've really seen on here.

There's a difference between being a hater and being realistic.

As long as you're happy with barely nudging past a crippled St. Paul team, that's all fine and dandy.

Sp and Hurley are both small schools and they could not win in the LPD although Pound would be winnable and they could compete with appy. Not to take anything away from either of those LPD schools. But let me ask a question How would PV, Kelly, or clintwood fare if they were in the CMD The would be playing GC, LEbanon, Va high or if we wanted to compare say Hurley with an enrollment of 230 or so to Kelly enrollment of 500 that would have Kelly playing a school with 1000 students and how would Kelly fare then, they can't even win a plyoff game in Region D. My only point is size of the school matters and for the size of the schools Hurley and Sp are good little teams.

Probably about as good as they have in the last few years since Clintwood had played GC for about the last 10 years, Lebanon the last couple and this year. PV has played GC forever, played Lebanon tonight. When JJK used to go 1-9 every year, that 1 win was always over VA High.

What? How about a game with Hurley (201) against Burton (252). Not much difference. How good a team is Hurley now?

and you can be mature and clean the language up. So I said something about your team? Grow up man. This is a free country and I'll say what I want when I want. Prove me wrong Rebels and win state-wear it out. No need to get all hissy and ****y.

I just don't understand how he's punking a school when he's making a legitimate statement: Without Phillips, St. Paul is in the ground and very limited as to what they can accomplish. And even in that case, Hurley, who should be way ahead of St. Paul given their hype (even if they had Phillips) came out ahead by barely an inch. Are we not supposed to voice our opinions now? Should we just suck up to teams because we feel sorry for them because they're small and didn't perform up to their hyped expectations?

True that about Virginia High (God the Steve Bates and Bobby Short years were awful-folks clapping because we got beat 30-0 instead of 50-0). Put JJK in the CMD and they'd fare AT VERY LEAST as they are in the LPD. JJK has went toe to toe with the CMD favorite Lebanon, and the TRIBE can well compete with VHS (winnable IMO). We have had success with Lee High, and John Battle would be a Homecoming opponent for us.

    Re: Hurley-St.Paul

Kelly is one of the better squads anywhere in swva this year but Coach Salyers, who in my mind is one of the area's best, is only like 11-29 so no Kelly wouldn't have been competive with the cmd and their current schedule is filled with John Battle types, Goingg back further Saunders was only alittle over .5oo% and before him 4-36 so not a lot of wins for the tribe over the last 15 years or so
