Actually it wasn't. It was the same fake that Osbourne completed against Burton last year at UVAW. It made it a 2 td, 2 two point conversion game.

The South--Gate City game is the most crowded football game I've seen since I was a kid and went to some of the big games in the 90s. When they said they expected several thousand, they weren't kidding around. I had to take a spot at the fence so I didn't get any game footage (not that it would be worth much, considering Gate City got slapped around a good deal), but I did get a few snapshots of the massive crowd. The fence was covered all the way around, 2+ people deep in most spots. Oh, and did I mention it was louder than all hell? One of the best atmospheres in recent memory, even if it was never really a close ball game. Gate City just isn't in the same league as South.

Thanks for the unbiased evaluation of the game. Some others have trouble seeing it that way.

It was closest at 21-7 and Gate City was beginning to get it together, but South quickly followed up with a long drive followed by a field goal, making it 24-7. From that point on, it was an ass-whipping. I don't know how anyone could argue against that. I think Gate City is the top dog in this area (especially after seeing the Tazewell--Lebanon final), but they would never be able to compete with a team like Sullivan South and come out on top. At least not this year.
