Gate City had 5 turnovers that did not help much either. The game could have been a little closer if not for the turnovers but the outcome would still be the same. When I say closer I mean 2 to 3 tds instead of 4. It was 24 to 7 at halftime. I think Vaughn still got over 100 yards. The QB South had was their backup. Their regular QB was out of the game and he could have stacked in a few more tds. GC surprised me with running the ball so good on South. Seemed like everytime they got things moving they would turn it over. South did put a whippin on GC. They will be the best team GC will face all year. Cant wait to see the stats. South had 24 seniors and 20 started and Gate City has only 5 seniors. I think they did pretty good to be so young against a senior laden team like South. So dont say they will never be able to compete with a team like South. Next year GC will return almost everyone while South will be the young team. South is a great team and play great ball. Kinda looked like a small college out there. This is one team I hope we keep on our schedule for a very long time!
