According to the bowl projections, there are 34 bowls and 68 teams. Question is......

These are the number of possible tie ins from each conference listed down below... this DOES NOT INCLUDE the BCS bowl games. Does this seem right or does even the bowl system also need some revamping?

My opinion is that if you are now playing 12 games.. you need to win at least 7 to be bowl eligible. 6-6 does not cut it for me. Its about like having a 6-14 team make the Region D Division II basketball playoffs.

    Sun Belt - 1
    WAC - 3
    MAC - 4
    Mountain West - 5
    Conference USA - 5
Big East 4-6 (non BCS bowls)
Big Twelve 5-7 (non BCS bowls)
PAC Ten - 5 (non BCS bowls)
Big Ten - 6 (non BCS bowls)
ACC - 7 (non BCS bowls)
SEC - 7 (non BCS bowls)

There's way too many bowls IMO.
