Not sure of the exact score of the girl's game, but Pound gave JIB a scare tonight. Pound was up 10 at the half and up 3 in the 4th quarter, but Miller took over. I think JIB wound up winning by 10. something like 72-62 or something. That may be a little too high. Miller had about 32 points in the 2nd half alone while Balthis had 30-something in the game for Pound.
Pound boys beat JIB 52-37.

Yup, I should have mentioned that. I got there at the beginning of the 2nd and St. Paul lead the whole time I was there. Had a 10-12 point lead most of the game, Kelly cut it to 5 with about six left in the game...then SP got some quick turnovers and points off, then it was up to a 12 point lead again pretty quick. Second string came in with about 2:30 left.
I'm guessing it was pretty physical? St. Paul has 3 or 4 real physical players themselves.

Yup, it was. Kelly had nothing for St. Paul's big men, they bullied them down low the whole time. And Ellis was playing great, in-your-face D that Kelly couldn't do much with...of course you heard the Kelly fans go crazy about that.
Actually what got me the most was, that during halftime, SP had set it up where the smaller kids could play a little game in front of a big crowd. Well why they were out there(really fun and great to watch) some lady kept yelling to get them off the court(even saying to the kids, "all right boys, time to let the big boys play" and "hurry up" etc. etc. so Kelly could "warm-up" and then actually yelling at the Kelly players to go out and start shooting anyway. Fortunately the coach of the little team just called it off and Kelly got to get the much-needed warm-up shots.
They did this when Pound played at St. Paul as well. I think they let them play 1 six-minute quarter or something during halftime.
