i know it is kind of early but does anyone know the playoff schedule like when it is actually going to start? i know in previous years it was always 2 weeks after the regular season but since the new format and an extra playoff game does that mean it is starting the week after?

I'm all cornfused about the playoffs. I thought as soon as season ended you took the Top 16 across the state and played it out. So is it Top 16 on Western Div play it out and then Top 16 in Eastern Div play it out then the champ of each square off for the title??????

Your close. The top 16 on each side play down to 2 seeds left on each side. Then the higher seed left hosts the lower seed from the other side. Those two winners then play in the finals. And stainless you basically copied me.

so there is an outside chance that Burton could play Clintwood for the state title game, right.

Yes, the way it is setup this year, from all I have read and seen that could happen, but two teams in "region C" stand in the way. And in my opinion I don't see Burton or Clintwood beating either George Wythe or Galax. Could be wrong but I think they are as good as it gets this year.
