From a previous comment on the number of attempts for Graham, which I was unsure of at the time, seen it in the local paper (PVN) today....187 carries, 2,305 yards, 28 TD's.

Just my opinion but Graham would make a killer special teams player at VT. I might be a little bias to tech but Graham has the speed and size to be a kick team kid

To be honest Graham could of had D1 schools fighting over him if he went to a winning program and help getting his name out there. Another UVa Wise wasted talent that will ride the pine behind a Northern Va thug.

Re: Top backs in SWVA yardage wise??

Should be able to get his name out there well enough. Dustin Waynick is being offered a walk-on invite this year from Virginia Tech, Hurley's football program isn't all that great and the comp. they played wasn't either. Twin Valley had a player (Matt Baldwin) on the football a few years ago. I think Nick Bush from Lebanon is still there. Matt Perdue, quarterback at Lee, from a while back went to Appalachian State and that was some of Lee's worst years of football. Robert Sabattini from Lee went to VMI and Mississippi State. He's shown plenty enough IMO to be able to get some attention. I guess playing for one like Richlands would help get some exposure at the state level too and it would add a few more schools but just don't see it as being a great deal being in this area as is the case with most. Most people at Lee claim the lack college recruiting attention is because the coaches don't enough to help, I just don't buy that either, a lot of it seems to me would be up to the players themselves.

Show me where a kid from our area sat on the bench at UVa-W behind a lesser player.

I only saw him play against Clintwood, so I don't have a lot to go by. He ran hard and had decent speed, but he is no way a FBS (D1) player.
