One that we Americans are to be targets in. A Civil War between the Iraqi's?
Between two other factions in a country that basically considers us the Devil?
Like it or not we should of got who we were after and done been out of there.
Problem is. We will never be out of there.
    That is a war?
Hmm. Sounds like something to keep us and other Americans dying for who?
You say a war. I would like to understand a war where we always pay the price in human lives and then in rebuilding the country.
Would we be done so well?
I don't think so. Do you?
And one other thing. I just don't want these men and women forgotten. That seems to happen sometimes. They deserve better.

I agree, our soilders should never be forgotten my thoughts and prayers are with them everyday. On the other hand, if we just pack up and leave, there is potential for another Hitler situation to occur.

I respect our soilders more than anyone, but they volunteered for the armed services. Everyone knows the potential things that can happen when they sign up.

    Re: Iraq: The Truth

Well in WWI we pretty much destroyed Germany. Brittain and Franc put the salt in the wound by makeing them pay them billions of dollars and pretty much blaming them all together for the war. There government was in ruins after the war and the country was very vunerable and that allowed a manipulative piece of scum like Hitler take over. Thus if we leave Iraq in the condition it is in right now, the same thing could happen again. Read up on a little history there bud....

    Re: Iraq: The Truth

theres no way that iraq could build a military as big as Germanys in rougly 15 years, they were still rebuilding from the first war. In Germany you had national unity where everyone rallied around Hitler, In Iraq you have no chance of that, with Sunnis, Shiites,Turks, and Kurds all fighting each other. If theres a situation in iraq that resembles the past, its probably the bosnia situation where you might have ethnic cleansing if one group gains control.

Germany was actually recovering successfully from World War I and making their reperation payments to France and Great Britian after the War because the U.S. was giving them money. The Great Depression was the main reason why Germany looked to Hitler to lead them because the U.S. was no longer in a position to support the Germans.
The test is simple, if "your" team wins a national championship, do you get a championship ring? If the answer is yes, then you can say "we." If not, you can't.

    Re: Iraq: The Truth

I agree with mega with Iraqs situation, it would be more of a civil war than anything. I was just trying to use an example. We cant just pack up and leave things the way they are though, that would be a complete disaster.
