To add to that, we seem to be fighting more Syrians and Saudis than Iraqis. This war IS about fighting terrorism, as Syria and other nations that border Iraq provide suicide bombers to keep the insurgency going. As someone else said, better to fight them over there than to try and intercept and stop them here.

    Re: Impeachment?

What we as a country need to do is focus all of our time and efforts toward the American people and leave those idiots over their to fend for themselves...We have alot of young men and women over there that are dying everyday because of those idiots...If the US would control it's borders alittle better then alot of the junk here wouldn't happen in my opinion.

That's one thing I don't agree with in our country is how anyone or anybody can just come in pretty much anytime they want too unless they are from Cuba then we detain then for a few days and let them in also...It makes me sick thinking about some people in the United States that are ess fortunate and yet the government gives money to foreign countries for aid and such and doesn't help the ones at home who need it more...It makes no sense if Africa needs money so bad let them hold concerts and help their own cause...Do you think they would help us if we was in bad shape...NO.

We might be in Iraq for for alot of reason and alot of our men and women have gotten killed...Alot of it has to do with oil...Some may not want to admit it but it's true...Would we be better without G.W. Bush in office who's to say because no politician cares about us...Democrat, Republican, or Independent for that matter...They only care about themselves and making themselves look good...I just wish America would look after the American people before handing money to countries would could care less about us.

Here's a thought to ponder on: Social Security might not be in all that much jeopardy if we had taken the money we spent in Iraq and put it toward Social Security.
Take em one at a time and everything else will take care of itself.

I agree with everything you said especially the part about controlling domestic issues first and focusing on security patrolling the borders in order to create a safer environment.

    Re: Impeachment?

Ok wow some good stuff (and some bad stuff here). First off, I'll support our troops 100%. They didn't say "hey lets go to Iraq", they just follow orders. Now then, were the orders flawed? Thats very subject to debate.

We can't solve all the worlds problems. Thats our biggest mistake. We think we can make things better for people, and a lot of them don't think our system of better, is for a fact, better. I mean look here in our area. Some people are 100% convinced that consolidation is the best solution, some are convinced that smaller schools are the best solution. If we can't agree with ourselves, how can we expect people who have grown up in a completely different world to think that what we're doing is 'best for them'.

I am really getting fed up with the restrictions on rights. We all better watch ourselves, with the new laws on Instant Messengers, Emails and such, even posting in a thread that has the word 'impeachment' in it, we might be on the new list of possible terror suspects.

I'm sorry, the mentality of you're either with us or you're a terrorist is crazy. That's the old it's my ball, I'm the quarterback or I'm going home just on a grander scale.

And while I don't agree with calling Bush a terrorist myself, open your eyes and see what the rest of the world (and not just the axis of evil) calls him and us? We see them as these extremists who would come here and kill us and our children, well if you was over there, what would you see us as? I mean like you said, we're fighting them over there, so to them, we are the terrorists, we are over there using attacks to kill their innocents. Sure we say no we're getting rid of terrorists and all, but don't you think that their newspapers and such say the same when they attack us? Heck, we know they do, we've seen it.

Now then, Bush has lied directly to Congress and the American people, same as Clinton did. The only difference, Clinton lied about some action on the side, and unless it was from people dying on seeing how ugly some of the girls he was with were, nobody died to his lies. Not saying that him lying was any better, but we turned his sex life into a witch hunt and spent a ton of money on something that while maybe not right, wasn't worth holding up a nation for for years. The same people who condemned him to death will now say how Bush was doing what he had to do to protect the dignity of the United States, well heck, maybe that was why Clinton did it too, you know to many of us only look at things from one side and thats whatever political party we're supporting.

Also, this will not be held on terms with Vietnam, because technically it's not a war. How can you win. Does the great country of terrorism surrender and you say you win? It's an idea, it's a cause, but it's not a war.

As for the other ideas, I'm all for helping Africa and such. It's great and I sure as heck would rather us be helping a person have food and medicine as opposed to the amount of money we're having to spend to rebuild some country that we probably shouldn't ever have been in. If the US wants people to not hate us, and us to not be a target, thats the way we need to help. It's not going to change everybodys opinion, there is no way, those people are born/bred to think we are the great Satan and just like we think of them as almost all terrorists who want to come and kill us and our children in our sleep, they have been taught how bad we are. If someone from Iraq came here and offered to help fund the school system, we would all be wondering what their hidden motivation was. We come over there and offer to help them with something, due to our wonderful past history of nation building, they have to ask the same questions.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
