    Re: fireworks

Clintwood's was one of the better ones I had seen in a while. It was nice just to sit on the 30 yard line on the home side of the field and look up and see the fireworks display. It was a comfortable night, and the sky was a little cloudy, but just enough so it gave the fireworks a nicer backdrop. PLUS, add to that that there was a storm coming around the town, and there were bolts of lightning off in the distance that kind of reflected back, giving the sky even more brightness. All things considered, I would say it was the best display I've seen around in this area in a while.

Only bad part about it is that some skanky dude with blonde hair and no shirt came up to me and my g/f about 2/3'rds of the way thru the show and asked us if we wanted to "shoot up". I could have gotten up and beat him down just for asking us that right in the middle of a nice show like that...then he grabbed his Avril Lavigne wanna be g/f and left to go get high. It makes me sad to know that's how they went and spent their evening...pisses me off to know that's how some kids get their kicks in this area. (btw...these 2 were no more than 14-16 years old...but yet we're fighting "terrorism" abroad instead of helping kids like this. Yay America!)

Don't get me wrong--Love my country! Just hate when things like this happen and remind me of the shape that it's in.
