Is anyone else tired of hearing about Stanley "Tookie" Williams? Hollywood is trying to glorify another convicted murderer. Tookie still denies the crimes he commited even with all the people that ratted him out. He did the crime, now he has to suffer his punishment.

Yeah the founder of the Crips gang back in the early 70's and convicted murderer among other things...I hope Arnold doesn't listen.

In a related story Mark Warner just granted clemency to a Virginia death row inmate who had been convicted of brutally stabbing a store clerk to death with a pair of scissors.

I feel this was a bad move for Warner in what looks to be a strong challenge for the democratic presidential nomination in '08. He had proved to be a successful moderate leader in a conservative state and this move in my opinion shows a liberal side to him that we had not really seen yet.

Makes you lose a little respect for Warner. Maybe since his term is over he thinks that he should show another side of himself. You would of thought this would have been front page news.

Yeah I lost a little respect for him on that deal as well. I'm not going to judge him on that alone if he does run in '08 but it makes me look at him a little differently now. Always gotta think about the victim and victim's family before you go around letting people off death row.

Have you heard the reasoning behind Warner's decision?

Yeah something about some evidence being tampered with and dna testing not being able to take place...well I say if it was that big of a deal then why did he get convicted in the first place? They must've had a preponderance of evidence on him anyway for the jury to convict him.

A preponderance isnt enough evidence to convict though.
