Universal has obtained the rights to God of War, one of the best games out in recent memory.

When make it into a movie it will suck like every other game that is made into a movie. The game series still has more games to go so lets hope that they will wait until the rest of the games come out so that they can get the whole story into the movie.

everybody gets upset with games to movies adaptations, because they are completely different than the game. That's the whole point, they aren't supposed to be the same. Yeah, have the same characters, similiar plot, and a few new things here and there, but that's it..
Resident Evil 1 & 2 were good
house of dead 1 & 2 were good
doom.. great...
Tomb Raider 1 & 2 great!..

And with silent hill coming out soon, it should also rank up there with the good game to big screen adaptions.

I really hope that silent hill is good. the game scares the living crap out of me though......hopefully that will translate well to the screen

The Resident Evil movies were better than good. When you understand that they filmed RE1 on a VERY small budget in Canada, and take into account the special effects they were able to use, and also figure in that they only took a month to shoot the entire film...it's very good. Also remember that most of the characters in both films do most of their own stunts--so that's a plus.

RE2 did a lot of plot development, got into Raccoon City and it's role in the storyline a lot more. I love how they're trying to stay relatively close to the game, along with bringing in "Alice" as the main character and her connections to Umbrella Corp. Can't wait for RE3...I guess UltraViolet will serve as my helping of Milla Jovovich until she starts in on RE3.
