i got pulled over last night (for apparently hittin the yellow line a few times), anyways, cop ran my license and they come as suspended since 12/14/05. I've always had insurance, vehicle in my name, two tickets (no seatbelt and dead tags), both of those fines got prepaid, and the reason my license' came back as suspended was for "failure to report to a drivers clinic", if you were required to go to a drivers clinic wouldnt you receive something in the mail about it, and shouldnt the DMV contact you about your license' being suspended?

yeah the dmv sent me the letter in the mail when i got a seatbelt ticket.
now you'll have to go to driving school and pay a 115 dollar fine to get your licenses back man!

they didnt send me nothing man, and i got the ticket back in september, prepaid it and nothing else was said about it..
and im not going anywhere or paying anything, i should have been notified by someone, hell, my insurance isnt even higher man, its went down...

yeah i prepaid mine to, and then about a month later i got a letter in the mail sayin that i had to go to driving school by a certain date, and i couldnt get in the class by that date and ended up havin to pay the 115 dollar fine.
so just over a 25 dollar seatbelt ticket i had to pay 200 bucks

Did they tell you about how to get your license reinstated? Whoever they point you to should have an answer. I would still be curious as to how you would have to go to a driving school of some type for the types of tickets you got. Doesn't add up.

yeah, he just told me to go to the DMV to get them reinstated, i told him i never got anything about going to a driving school, so he let me go without a ticket, just took my license, and told me to take a few forms of ID to the DMV to get em back..

i'll probably call the courthouse to get some information, and then go to the DMV to find out whatever else i can, come hell or high water though im not paying for something i never knew a thing about...

I wonder if it's a local thing. I went with a buddy of mine to the DMV in South Boston to get his license renewed and he had to retake the written (computer) test because he had two or three speeding tickets. Of course, he flunked it and had to go back a week later for a retest. Just seems silly to have to go to and pay for a driving school for something minor. And I still can't figure out why your insurance company wouldn't have known. I don't know a great deal about insurance, but I would have assumed that they would have jacked your rates way up or even cancelled you if you didn't have a valid license. I believe in either case, you definitely would have remembered getting that letter.

I figured your insurance would have contacted you. I think I would be inclined to do some checking. I would get somebody to show me a document, with the appropriate date, contact info, etc. That, and make buddies with some of the local cops. They would probably be the best source of how this could happen.

went to drivin class saturday, got the certificate, and didnt go to the DMV on Monday...Out on a date tuesday night, and what happens? Knight67 gets pulled over and slapped with not one, but 2 more tickets from Sheriff Yost..tryin to light a cigarette and i swerved over on the white line for a sec, and the lights come on, and the tickets are delivered

guy definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed that morning from my experience with him...
