mark my word folks.....myspace will become law enforcement's biggest nightmare here sometime in the near future. if you are a parent of a teenager or pre-teen, you are absolutely crazy if you allow your child to have one.

    Re: MySpace

Yeah I have a page - but I took mine private because of someone local practically stalking me. That person really needs a hobby - it's creepy.

And even before I took mine private there was no ID as to town, full names, no places identified, no school that I went to, not where I work, no pictures labeled (I did put my dogs names on there but I dont think anyone's gonna use that against me lol).
    You'll shoot your eye out.

    Re: MySpace

thats a good point you make. There have been true stories about people being "found" on myspace. Kids don't necessarily tell people where they live, but they give clues. For example they may say they live in SWVA and play football. They then have a picture of them in their uniform or a JJK shirt. That right there might be enough for someone to be able to come to practice and pick them out. I went to a seminar that talked about this and it really does happen. I'd advise all parents to monitor their kids site (not so much to be nosy but to know who they are friends with on there) and make sure they've made it "private".

They all should go private. Why put all your information on a site for anyone to see and invade your privacy. Unless you want them to. Honestly.

If your a star you get perks for being stupid. But a person who just wants to have a life. You find yourself stalked, used and possibly abused.

Myspace is a place for all space. Any nut who is looking for anything can find it there.
Drugs, sex, stupid teens who have no clue, to adults who have no clue.
It's a place of ignornace. Some use it to tell about themselves and their lives. For all the world to see and take advantage of.
If you want the world to know your a druggie, or a nut, or think your a sex queen wannta be, or the stud king or just the ultimate rebel put it there.
Some nut will find you and exploit you.
It's easy to do. And most of the kids and pre-adults make it an instant hit.
No wonder it's full of perv's and nuts looking for easy prey.
Put it there someone will find it. Even the perv's of the net.
You make it easy for them. So put it there if your looking for a cheap thrill. Or to make yourself famous. Some nut will find it and make you famous.

    Re: MySpace

    Yeah that's a little extreme.
There are nuts everywhere. And if they're nuts on myspace they're nuts in real life. Myspace doesn't make them more nuts.

Some of us just use it to keep in contact with real-life friends and family that we otherwise wouldn't have the time to contact very often.
    You'll shoot your eye out.

    Keeping in touch is fine.
But let's be a tad bit honest. My space .com ain't the greatest keepin in touch place now is it. Honestly?

Many see most of what it's about. Not a lot of just keeping in touch.
