Mormons

Sleeping pretty well this morning, get woken up by someone pounding on my door. By the time I get to the door, no one there. Walk out on the porch, see two mormons walking down the road to bother my neighbors.

I don't know who is worse, the Mormons or the Jehovah's Witnesses. They both insist on damn near beating my door down.

Methinks I'll have a sign made to put on my front door. "No fanatical fringe religious groups!"

While I respect their convictions in completing their assigned missions (heck - maybe they do succeed in converting someone on occasion), I have to agree with you that it can be difficult to deal with them. Not everyone at home at noon during the day is sitting around watching soaps eating bon bons - some folks work different shifts.

When in Blacksburg I managed a community that was private, no soliciting, everything posted properly, etc., yet we still had to toss the Mormons and JW's on a regular basis. They truly felt the "no soliciting" didn't apply to them. They see conviction, others see pushiness.

The Mormons visited our house late last week. We have one dog that doesn't show any aggression - she's not a barker or anything of the sort. She growled for the first time ever when the Mormons came to the door. As they say - dogs know who the good people are lol

Was at a friends' house recently and the Mormons decided to pay a visit. He's a pistol anyway, and when he answered the door, he politely said "F**k off", and slammed the door in their faces.

Just do like some other poster on here done before, answer your door completely naked and they will never come back again. The mormons and JW will also inform other members to not stop at your house. lol

I believe that is one of the funniest things I have ever heard of before. Not a nice thing to do, but yet you get your point across and don't have to be bothered with them showing up at your door step all the time. Unless there is a "wild" mormon or JW that wants to keep coming back.lol

Was in Oceanside, California, on a Friday night and there were street preachers on every corner. Some were passive, but some would actually try to block your path to try and get their message across. A friend and I were walking past a particularly over-zealous preacher who stopped us and started delivering his message. My friend interrupted him and calmly said "Excuse me sir, we are practicing Druids." One of the greatest lines I've ever heard in my life!
