This whole debate is a prime example of how far this country has drifted from where it began, and what put it on top...

This country used to hang people for even thinkin about something like this, (witch hangings and ect...)....Now we have a debate on a forum about how it should be ok...The more of this crap we let go on the further we go downhill...

This country was formed by protestant christians, for protestant christians....Hints the "In God We Trust" on all things government, including money...


So let me get this straight...."In God We Trust", as Homo's, Saudomites, and intentional sinners, allowing, condoning and living intentionally in sin????

Alot of people must know a different God than the one this country was born for...I'm no religious freak, but something isn't right about trusting God as a country, and allowing, and condoning homosexuals to marry...

Maybe there is alot of reasons beind this depression we are heading straight for...

I can name thousands of "protestant" Christians who are intentionally living in sin. Pre-marital sex, drinking, drugs, cursing, lying, adultery, etc is committed by "protestant" Christians each day yet nobody ever says anything to them. Another example of people trying to use religion for personal views/agenda. Personally I don't agree with homosexuality, I saw two lesbians kiss each other and wish each other farewell the other day. I do think it should be done in private but for me to tell them they are sinners and then go out and commit sins myself would be hypocritical imo.

Most all of those are illegal...You guys are taking everything I said and putting a major spin on it, All I was getting at is shouldn't the law reflect the "In god we Trust" that is on our money and capital buildings???

Only one thing I listed is illegal and that is drugs. None of the others are illegal. If were going to do the entire in "God we trust" thing we'd all be imprisoned for the sins we commit. Thankfully we have ( I believe in) an understanding and forgiving God.

Let God judge them not us...whether we say its alright condone it or whatever its not gonna change them or anything...so it wouldnt bother me if they could get married

Ummm, in the USA, where I live, adultry is illegal, and lying in many circumstances is as well, (ask Barry Bonds)...So as I said, MOST of the things you listed are illegal...

You ever known of an individual going to jail for committing adultery? Only way lying can become illegal is if you've already committed another crime or are involved in another crime in some way.

But at least the law reflects on those things that we as a country do trust and Believe in god, as it states on our money...If Gay marriage is legalized what are we saying??? "In God we Trust", but we think it's ok if you want to totally go against him on our soil???

Let them be gay on their own...why do they need papers???
