What part of Greece are you visiting? It is really beautiful this time of year. I am afraid to say, but I think that you will likely find prices pretty inflated there since the fincancial problems have erupted.
We all know by now of all the turmoil in Greece...
What's worrisome for me is that I'll be leaving for a 12 day trip to Greece in two weeks.
Any ideas on how my trip might be affected?
I know the value of the euro has plummeted, so I'm sure they'll be open to my money and it should be more affordable, but I'm curious as to how this all will pan out.

Prices may be inflated, but with the euro down, dollars should help alot and the power of negotiation should be your friend.

I'm hitting a lot of different parts... Athens, Delphi, Patras, Olympia, Argolida, Epidaurus, Mycenae, Cape Sounion, Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos, and Patmos.
I figured I would be getting more for my dollar when I convert it over to euros..

Ahh, Crete!! I was stationed there for a year with the NATO missile forces in 1986. Nothing like a good, fresh goat steak and fried green olives. Watch the ouzo there, it is laced with opium......packs a real wallup.
i took a cruise there this past fall....it was great. Greece was actually the only European country that i liked. I think that Mykinos was my favorite stop though. As far as the Euro goes, it has became weaker than it was, but it is still stronger than the dollar. Right now 1 dollar is with 80 euro cents. so if you have 100 dollars that equates to 80 euros. As far as the prices go, it wasn't really any worse than the rest of europe, just be ready to pay 3.50 euro for a coke and not even get refills.
