Virginia State Police
Virginia State Police have now issued an endangered missing child alert for the missing teen in Scott County Virginia

The Sheriff's Department says 16-year-old Lashae Hope Calhoun was last seen at Gate City High School around 11:00 yesterday morning.

Authorities believe Calhoun is in danger.

They think she's with 18-year-old Alex Qualls. He's described as 5'7", 140 lbs, hazel eyes and red hair.

They believe he's driving at 1995 gold four-door Buick with tag number XKA-2785.

They tell us Qualls is wanted for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Authorities believe the couple could be going to Georgia.

If you have any information please call the Scott County Sheriff's Department.

I do know the mom of the boy involved and I can imagine the agony that the families are going through at this time.

Yes. Its not typical of her personality. A lot of very shocked family members who are very worried at this time.

Have heard that Hope and Alex have been spotted in Knoxville. Please send the alert to anyone you might know in that area and make people aware!!!

Was not a positive ID. The person that spotted her said she fit the description and was in that type car but did not get the tag number.
