I can't remember who I was talking to when I was talking about foreign coins but if you remember that would be great or if you know about foreign coins and their worth, let me know please. I took some pics of them and would like to know if there is any place local that normally buys them.

i have a couple thousand different coins, im no expert but ill go ahead and tell you that unless they are silver or gold they usually arent worth much. More of a sentimental thing than dollar value. There is a small coin shop in johnson city that has pretty fair prices on most of their stuff but i cant remember the name of it right off. almost everything you see at a flea market type setting is WAY overpriced. send me some pictures and ill try to identify your coins for ya and give you a decent price on em.

There was a place buying gold and silver in Pikeville a few weekends ago. Also said they would buy all pre 1965 coins. Do they have silver in them to?

I really don't know. They are just some coins that I got from family. I am just curious as to whether they are worth anything and I need to keep them locked up or if they are just basically worthless.

They're appear to be ordinary Denmark currency.

US dimes and quarters pre 1965, or '64 on back were 90% silver.

so far, they are worth whatever the exchange rate is. you MAY find someone that is just interested in world currency and be able to sell them, but those are probably still in circulation unless they went exclusively Euro too.

oh and BTW to the OP, those kroners ARE still in circulation. the smaller coins are ORE which are a percentage of a Krone or Kroner.
