Fog

Thought i would post this here also to get comments. Man this morning i ran to some dense fog and ran upon a tractor a man was moving that had no lights or anything. Let's just say i was only doing 30 but about crapped my pants.

Ok early morning drivers to late morning drivers. What area has the most dense fog.
I've had the great advantage of driving the area between St.Paul and Castlewood, for some reason the one place up on the mountain above St. Paul it seem it takes till almost 10 am for the fog to get gone. I find that the most difficult area to drive early to 10 am.

There is NOTHING in the world that compares to the Nine Mile Spur, many mornings it will be so foggy you can't look DOWN and much more than see the ground, and in the winter there will days where the fog never clears from the tops. 5 mile per hour is a fast pace.

Interstate 77, near the NC line.

That is the only place where the fog made me say to myself "am I going to get out of this alive."

I64 I beleive it is. A place called Waltons Mtn gets real bad. Your lucky if you can see the hood of your car.

Afton mountain on 64 is real bad too. Plus you get to dodge deer at the same time.
