I spent my evening off tonight at Holston Valley Hospital ICU 31-A watching my brain-dead first cousin Shane (who for all intents and purposes is my brother) suck air from a ventilator. I spent alot of time gazing at the picture on the wall of him holding his 3 year old son Isiah, and I spent some time shedding tears watching his body convulse from what doctors call "posturing", a really bad sign for the seriously brain-injured. The doctors are attempting/asking his next of kin to remove him from the ventilator, but my religious N.O.K. will not. She waits for God to do it. The ventilator prevents "God's will". If my cousin could speak from heaven, he'd say "Let me go. I am with Jesus right now". I know it is hard for her to not pull the plug. I am a parent too, but we all can clearly see that his body is suffering. I am broken over this. This has exacted a toll on me that I cannot put into words. I have way to much drama going on in my life, and I come on here to yet another day of war. Guys, we all (me included) have a piece of blame over the last few days events. I am willing to admit when I am wrong. I simply cannot deal with the extra BS right now. I am leaving my Myspace link here. if you want to holla at me as a friend there, please feel free to do so. I like to think that for the most part, I have been a respected, insightful, and informative contributor to this forum. I have made some great friends here, great memories that I will cherish forever. For that, it was all worth it.

Hate me if you wish, but please be good enough, kind enough to keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
