Dont count on it

I didnt want post this on the main sports forum but Doug still doesnt have a teaching degree and quite honestly he couldnt learn much from the worst coach in the district. If various school board members arent BS'ing me, Goforth will be Wilson's successor and I sure as hell hope it goes that way. They need to hire the best coach for the job instead of it being the good ole boy network. Goforth is paying his dues and you can tell that those girls are much better coached than the boys are.

Hell, I dont want a Kelly guy coaching a Burton team, but I guess I'll have to live with it because hes the best man for the job

Goforth would be the best decision.

Doug has been out of school for 10 years and still doesn't have a degree?

If that's the case, then that's on Doug. Goforth is doing a great job with the gals. If he does end up the head man at JIB,he'll do well.

    Re: Dont count on it

nope, Doug was made the ISS teacher just to get him into the system. Talking to Stan, he says hes going to likely give it up after next basketball season. The school board is tired of waiting on Doug to graduate and in alot of ways, I think they have already made their decision. If Goforth doesnt get the job, its a real travesity and I say that cringing knowing that me and Goforth played ball against each other in HS and I hated Kelly more than I hated anything. I love Doug to death, hes always been a good friend but from an educational standpoint and the well being of the school, if I was an administrator or on the school board, Goforth would be my guy.

They also need to take into consideration that they are going to lose Goforth to another school if they dont give him that job. He's not going to wait around waiting forever. He will be a popular commodity. Everyone knows that if Gerri Lynn had been coaching last night, Burton's girls may have lost by 30 lol.

Rest assured amigo it bothers me just as much if not more than you seeing Indians like Goforth and Niece as well as Helton coaching against us, but when opportunity knocks, you grab it.

I can handle Goforth being a Raider coach. Seeing Neice coach the Raiders would be like Tommy Schrader being JJK's next ball coach. People love to hate Neice

Hows about you guys at Kelly grad Goforth up, and let the poor uncoached kids at The Springs have McAmis back!!!haha McAmis is a good caoch, I think he makes those boys better than they are, and his kids are always in shape, he learned that from Clark...

He learned that from Dave Bentley. No doubt that Clark taught him alot, but much of JJK's success under Bentley are directly attributed to the shape that he kept those guys in.
