It weird fellas i've known people married 25 yrs and now their divorcing.
It can happen. And i hate to say it. But Stripes i know the saying. In the end what i paid for my divorce i was more than glad to.
I was to the point it was destroying me mentally and physically.
And honestly when i met the woman and we dated and the first year or so we were married it was great.
Then it became a thing that i was always a liar or cheating or never spent enough time doing this or that?
And she knew my job and stuff, the long hours, and when i was off work, i tried to compensate and spend as much time as i could with her and her kids.
Yes i am not perfect and i can be head strong. But i will bend over backwards to try to make things work out, but it got to the point i couldn't make it work doing that.
Heck I even left phone numbers of places i would be working, but something happened, and man it went wrong. And it was as if i was the devil, and me never knowing what was going on half the time.
But i was always cheating and wrong and i never did a thing.
Finally when the doc told me release some of the stress or have a heart attack, i had to cut things loose. He said your in good physical condition, probably need to lose a few pounds. But stress is gonna kill you, if you don't let it go.
This is a topic i know that is hard for some.
But you know sometimes when you have done all you can. You have to make a decision, and esp. when your living in a house, where you are no longer able to say a word, or afraid to, because it will ignite something.
And i know it's on both sides men and women. I have a female friend who's husband demanded that dinner had to be on the table at 5:08 PM. And she had to have fresh bread from the bakery every day.
So it's just not us guys who go through hell sometimes.
I hate it for anyone. But i have learned, sometimes it's better to get out of a bad situation, it can hurt you in more ways than one staying in it.
I wish Indian_Dad and your friend the best Beast. Cause any long relationship is hard when it ends. But marriage and a person bent on vengeance, it makes it twice as hard.
I think sometimes when real life hits some just are not ready for it. And it does take work to make a marriage work, but it can't be all one sided. That is what kills most marriages, one wants it all and they lose the ability to talk to their partner about anything and everything, when you lose that. Look out because the marriage is headed for problems. Just some advice for those on here married. I've had other great relationships and the reason they worked was trust and the ability to talk and be painfully honest.
