Pills

I know there is a lot of younger and older folks on here.
Today i ran into a friend i hadn't seen in about 10 yrs. A guy i played ball against.
He use to be as big if not bigger than me. I didn't even know him at first glance.
He had been addicted to loritab and xanax and speed for years or he told me that.
His health is to the point his heart is ruined. Doctors have told him his body is 20 yrs older inside than out. Basically the drug abuse has done him in.
And this was a person most would not of thought about being a pill head as i call it.
Great job. Great life.
Now he's about 160 lbs of what did i do to myself.
Having to take about 12 medications a day to just live now.
And all because he had to have some pills to start his day and to end it.
Oh and yeah it almost ruined him financially, as his habit was up to 200 dollars a day.
I didn't really know what to say to this friend. But he said it all. I did it to myself. I knew what i was doing and i let it take over and consume my life.
If your doing it or know anyone that is. Stop doing it and if you know someone who is. Get them some help. Talk to them.
This guy is all of 47 years old and just a few years of abuse has all but destroyed him.
Told me straight out tonight if he lives 10 more years it will be a miracle and that is from his doctors. Even now that he is off the pills, way to much damage to his body.
It ain't worth it folks.

I've never understood the facination with Rx or alcohol. Alcohol in moderation is fine with me. I'll have a drink 5-10 times a year that's about it. It's mind boggling to me. To each his own I guess, just stay off the [censored] road if you're going to be that stupid.

I have never understood the fasicnation with Rx and alcohol myself either. I have never done either one and never will. What fun is it to get in a condition that you are not in controll of what you do and the next morning is so much fun aint it. Just this weekend I was thinking about this watching my cousin and another friend laying around feeling bad and in a bad mood because of all the "FUN" they had the night before. My uncle and myself were like pi$$ on'em nobody told'em to lay out drunk all night.

Never could understand addiction to pills. I have a friend who is hooked and who I believe is dealing. I had to eventually wash my hands of him because the last time I was at his house, he freaked out because he couldn't get his fix. When I say freaked out, I mean pacing the floor, jumping off the coffee table, punching the walls, cursing his mother, and so on. Enough is enough.

Seriously? I think he is pretty much the reason why we are in the jam that we are in. He couldnt get anything but projects at offensive line for years. Take away McKinnie and Searcy and you have the most underperforming unit over the last 25 years. Art can coach but if you cant bring in talent its hard to make up for it. Cristobal is a superstar recruiter, one of the best in the land, youll see come signing day when he brings in Anthony Davis how big of an impact he will make. Miami will be terrible until the offensive line is fixed. Aside from Youngblood and an inelgible Orlando Franklin, they have nothing.
