    Ok...wind, solar, and water can not produce enough energy to sustain us. That leaves us with and oil (fossil fuels considered "dirty") or nuclear power. What do you suggest we do?...live in the dark?

    Yes they can, absolutely they can, can they sustain the massive amount of waste of energy we have going on here? Probably not, but people act like they have to live in medieval times on those sources, that's ridiculous. It's a matter of responsibility, people in other countries(not 3rd world countries either) live perfectly fine while using a fraction of what we use. Even at the current pace, those alternative energies you mentioned along with other clean ones, can completely wean us off of fossil fuels.

    That spill equals catastrophe for fishing businesses, restaurants and tourism in the entire gulf...that's not even the environmental impacts, this is huge.
