It's not music don't call it music! It's missing a key part of music and Thats a melody!

This topic is music and I must say that rap is missing the key parts of music so do not call it music.

As a self-proclaimed music aficionado, I must say that I agree with the previous statement.

Hmm, good point, but I don't consider drummers to be real musicians either.
Us drummers can be musicians but we do need a little help at times. If I can I'll find a badass song that is a tribute to drummers.
I'm not saying that there haven't been great drummers. Hell, I spent 10 years of my life as one... I just know from experience and from working with many of them on the road that very few have any true musical sensibilities. For maximum jaw-droppage, I recommend listening to Gene Krupa, or Keith Moon from The Who... Also "Moby Dick" by Led Zeppelin has probably the greatest drum solo of all time in it.
In 1994 when I first started playing, I was pretty much thieving styles and techniques from people like Dave Grohl (Nirvana), John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), and later, Darren Jesse (Ben Folds Five).
