I'm pretty sure that one or more of you have successfully restrung an AG doll.
I just could not find the right sized brass ferrules and washers at the hardware stores here specified by the Just Magic website. (Thank you, Taffy Cheerful!)
Is there anyplace that you can order these parts?
For those who have done it, is it hard?

Thanks for the tip!
I'm exploring those sites now.
I left myself logged in overnight.

I am having the exact same problem; our local Home Depot didn't have any 5/16" sleeves (and the clerk pretty much didn't believe they even existed until I adamantly insisted they did). Anyone found any anywhere else? The only ones I can find online seem to be $7 for 2, which I think would be $28/doll...I love Kirsten, but that's a little steep.

Is there any possiblity another size would work with a different sized washer? (I already ordered the elastic. )

I cant remember the size I used, but it was slightly off of what was mentioned in the guide. As long as the string fits through, it should work. I have restrung about 8 dolls now with out a single problem.
Mine came from a local plumbing supply store for 15 cents each.

I got them at Orchard Supply, although they should be available at any Ace Hardware store...

I had the exact same problem!
I emailed AsianAG and she helped me SOOOOO MUCH!

If you don't find them at one LOWE'S look at another one. The first one I went to acted like I was crazy then I went to 2 plumbing supplies and they told me those sizes weren't being manufactored anymore. Desparate, I contacted AsianAG and she set me on the right track.

They are WATTS A-107 They worked beautifully for me!!! Good luck!
It was very satisfying to do and DD didn't have to be without her doll more than a few minutes.

We just restrung 2 dolls this weekend. We found the parts at home depot but the size was off by 1/16". I think we went up to 3/8". It seemed to work fine. We couldn't find the elastic so we used a really tight, thick, hair scrunchie. My BIL used a small bungee cord. We'll see how long it holds. Our biggest problem was restuffing her. She turned out a little lumpy I thought.

Thanks, everyone! I'd thought I was going to Lowe's but apparently I'd gotten the directions to a hardware store from Ace Hardware's website instead. Anyway, despite the fact that I couldn't find the items in question on their website, they had the insert sleeves. Hooray!

(Although, I'm pretty sure I got the wrong kind of washers. Ah well; those should be much easier to find!)

Thanks again!
