I have always thought sinse they came out with the tree for the girls of today that they should reintroduce the tree and then make ornaments that represent different times in history. Ornaments as well as lights have changed over the years and I just think it would be neat to see American Girl make something like this for the historical dolls that were Christian such as(Felicity, Samantha, Kit, Molly, Addy).

That would be really interesting. They could easily create holiday decoration accessory sets for each doll. Granted, characters like Felicity and Josefina would definitely not have used a tree. And its unlikely Kirsten and Addy would have either. But they could still make decorations appropriate for their time. I would love to see that.

I bought the AGT Christmas tree years ago when it first came out and all the little accessories that came with it: presents, wrapping paper, scissors, tape, etc. And still put it up nearly every year. Theres not a whole lot I can do for Lissie and Addy but now that I will have Kirsten I was thinking about adding some straw ornaments to it

That would be cute! I have the tree with the purple and blue ornaments. I bought it when it was on sale and deeply discounted. I'm glad I got it, but purple and blue never hit me as "Christmasy" colors.

Hey, that was my idea! Lol. But you know, great minds think alike.

I love this idea, as well. I'm thinking of buying a 24" fake tree at a craft shop, and attempting to decorate it like the tree in Samantha's books (old illustrations and new illustrations). I'm tired of waiting for AG on this one!

In Dearborn, Michigan, they have a Festival of Trees and they have an American Girl tree with all the historical dolls on it. I try to win every year. Some of my dolls' hair is ruined so it would be nice to win brand new ones but I never have any luck. I want to get Samantha and Kirsten new heads eventually.

I think it would be awesome to have holiday decoration sets for each historical doll. I'd definately consider buying Samantha's, at least!

Didn't the old Pleasant Company newspapers have info about decorating a tree based on each historical doll? I vaguely recall reading something like that. And there were directions for making simple straw ornaments for Kirsten.

Then again, perhaps I was dreaming?
