Me too. If I wanted to pay 80 bucks for one, I'd buy it from AG.

Be careful of cheap Addy's on ebay. Addy's skin can show scratches and rub marks more easily on their face, arms and legs then the other dolls. I do not know if there is anything that can be used to cove up these marks.
I don't know about this but have read on this site that some Addy wigs sheds. I have no clue if that is from the older dolls or the newer dolls. But I would check with any Addy seller about marks and hair falling out. It seemed just by rubbing or petting the dolls head hair fell out. From what I read it was not that the hair was dry but that the wigs were not made well. Dry hair just needs the downy dunk, so no problem with dry hair.
Take your time and keep watching the Addy dolls. Maybe save and add to the amount you can spend on a Addy. There are some lovely Addy's out there.

Keep on saving and don't give up . . . then you can get a brand-new Addy! I try to save up for one doll each year (this year it was Elsie). You can have the goal to get a brand-new one, and then maybe in the meantime the perfect Addy will show up on eBay. Either way, in the end you will have Addy!

Thank you for the tips!! Its not so much as not having enough to buy the doll... I'd just buy her from AG (which is what I might end up doing)
I was kinda hoping for a doll who needed me like I needed her... you know a project doll... something special to cherish because she was "outcast" man that sounds lame... but its kind a little kid thing.

I saw them around $60 right before Christmas. Be patient and you'll see one who is calling to you!!

I had finally given up on EVER getting an Addy and then American_Mommy PMed me the very next day with a cheap silver eyed fixer.
Patience is good. Someday YOUR Addy will find you!

I agree--keep your eyes out for a Addy with silver eye. There were quite a few of them on ebay before Christmas--for some reason, I see more Addys with silver eye than any other doll. I know that the hospital replaced the eyes only on my daughter's bitty when I asked, so if it is a PM Addy you wouldn't want the head replaced on, I bet they would only replace the eyes if you asked.
