One of my e-bay goals this year is too collect all of Kirsten's Hallmark ornaments before Christmas 2006.
Can some tell me what year the ornaments came out?
Thanks in a advance!

There are three.
2002 - Winter outfit (Kirsten holding snowshoes)
2003 - Birthday dress (Kirsten is sitting)
2004 - Kirsten wearing meet dress, this ornament came with a small lunch tine.

I just love the Hallmark Ornaments. They are very detailed and nicely done. We currently have 19 out of the 25. (25=3 of each of the 8 girls and Kit's treasures) Try doing a search on eBay for Kirsten Hallmark Keepsake. I recently won some auctions from a seller whose auction listings left out the word "ornament". Good luck in your search. Kirsten is one of my favorite AG dolls.

What a great idea - saving the ornaments from must one doll. I never thought of that. When the ornaments first came out, buying the set of all the dolls' ornaments seemed prohibitively expensive so I never took interest in them. I never thought to collect for just one doll. Well Duh on me. I hope you find all the ornaments your looking for. You'll have a great collection when it's finished.

Julia,
I buy a new ornament each year for my children. I try to choose a ornament that represents my children's lives that year. Last year I did get Caroline one of the Kirsten ornanaments because she was her first doll. She just loved the ornament . When I told her there were more, her response was I want all of Kirsten's ornaments. When we finish out Kirsten, I will start on Addy.
When my children get married (big sniff), I will give their ornaments as a wedding gift. I also have wrote on each ornanment a date and some special message (if I had room)

Grits, We do the same thing. DD's first doll was Molly and I was able to get all 3. I lucked into 1 at Hallmark after Christmas last year for half price. I was also able to find 1 Kit, and 1 Samantha for my nieces, 1 Addy for my sister, and one Kirsten for myself. Did they make Felicity? I've seen Kaya so I should probably look for hers and Josefina's for the future. I wish AG had at least kept that association with Hallmark. Have fun searching.

I do that, too! My mom actually gave me some special ornaments when I got married, but she hadn't collected them specifically year by year, which I'm trying to do.
I would like to get at least one Kit and one Addy, and I guess now a Molly!

I have 2 AG ornaments- Josefina and Addy in their Christmas dresses. I would love to get more.
This doesn't answer your question, but it is in response to the thing you said about buying your kids an ornament each year.
This was my first christmas away from home. My parents gave me all my collectors ornament and one special ornamanet I made in preschool. For a very long time I have collected Barbie ornaments. My husband and I are moving before next Christmas, so we did not buy decorations this year. Our tree was all Barbie and AG! What a great first christmas! He says next year we have to get other decorations. What he doesn't know is that it's going to happen again, because I will buy the decorations after Christmas.
I have to share the duck story. It is a cute little duck made by a 5 year old out of 2 flattened cotton squares and some felt. My older sister was so jealous that I made the ornament (she is 2 years older) that for years she would lie and say she made it (it has my initials on the back...). Finally when I was 8, I sold her the rights to the ornament for 50 cents. I didn't get them back until college, when she admitted it was my ornament The homemade ones are often the best
Good luck with your Kirsten ornaments.

Jennifer, My husband kids me and saids that when the kids are gone and married, we will not have any ornaments on our tree. Of course I will always have my special Morgan (my son) ornamnets on my tree.
I just told him I will start collecting my Grand-babies ornaments and when they come too Nanna house they can admire them.
