I appreciate the info. since I never knew about the artist mark! It just gets more and more cnofusing! My dolls either have it under the wig or it's not there at all. Six of my dolls are Pre-Mattel (I purchased directly from AG). I guess that mean it's possible to have a Pre-Mattel doll and not see any visible artist marks.

There was a time that the pm dolls were made in Hungry. This was for maybe a year or less (not sure.) It was also in the mid 90's before the dolls started being made in China. (I read this on a site on the web.) I don't know if all the dolls or just some. But there are Molly's out there with clothes that say made in Hungry. It could be that these dolls do not have the artist mark.

GreyMyst that is cool that you have a new doll that has that mark. I wonder if they had some left over heads that AG used up. That is the problem they could make 10,000 heads at a time. We have no idea how the ordering goes, since so many of the dolls have the same heads. We need a peek inside a doll factory. Would that be gross or what. kk maybe not.

I'd love to see inside a doll factory. Sometimes I drive myself batty trying to imagine how things are made...imaging the machines or the process...

I don't think the artist mark is on all dolls bought in that time frame...because not all molds used at that time had it. But, to answer the original question, all dolls with the soft lashes are PM Congrats!
