I've received quite a few items lately...and I thought I'd add my 2 cents to the board. [img]smile.gif[/img]

1) Nellie's Spring Dress - The dress is really adorable...but what's amazing is the amount of stuff for the money! It comes with shoes, tights, a necklace, a hairbow, and a trading card! All of this for $22 is a great deal I think...but it kind of spoiled me for some of the other stuff. A+

2) Molly's Victory Garden dress - Ok. This one I felt very ripped off by. I mean $24 for just the dress and hairbow! The dress is certainly NO nicer than the Nellie dress, and there's no shoes or socks. Actually I think this one looked better on the website. It would be cute at a better price. C-

3) Marisol's Tap outfit - Unlike the outfit above, this one is $26 and worth every penny! Talk about HEAVY! The skirt weighs a TON and so do the shoes (they're much heavier than the red tap shoes from American Girl Place). The hat is adorable! I even got this today when I was supposed to get it in February because it was backordered. A

4) Samantha's talent show dress - Like the Molly one, this is just the dress and the hairbow. Not a good deal. However, it's a beautiful dress. This one I like BETTER than in the catalog. Besides, Samantha wears it in the movie! How could I pass this up!? B+ because it's not a great value.

5) Josefina's Winter Wear - The price is great. The bag is really cute, and I love having the letter that goes with the storyline! While it's on sale I'd highly recommend grabbing this one! Besides, the AG clothes always look better with proper undergarments! [img]smile.gif[/img] A- not stunning, but a good deal and nice.

6) Kirsten's work dress - This dress only comes with hair ribbons, but it's only $20, and it's a beautiful blue/green color! I like it with Kirsten's eyes. A- same reason as above.

7) This one is not from AG, but I was amazed! IT'S REALLY BEAUTIFUL ON KIRSTEN!
It's the Maria Von Trapp play dress. It's even on sale right now. Much better in person than on the website, and fits Kirsten perfectly! I'm temped to get the partydress, too! I'd rate this an A. Here's the link:

Thank you so much for posting your reviews. I have been very interested in some of the items that you mentioned, but I have been hesitating since I have been burned on some of the AG items lately. It is a big help to get a review from someone who has the items in hand. Thanks again!

I'm sorry to hear you weren't too pleased with Molly's Garden dress... I too have always been a tad irked over how the historical dresses tend to cost more than AGT, yet include much less.

Which books in particular are you wondering about? Because I'm teaching an American Girls History class, I've now read all the books for Felicity, Josefina,and Kirsten, and I'm half way through Addy's. They've all been worthwhile. I'd have a really hard time picking a favorite. Each one has it's own flavor.

Thanks for the reviews Brenda! I finally received my delivery from AG almost 2 weeks after I placed it.

1. Josefina's Winter Wear: I also like the set and the little suede bag is really cute. A

2. Josefina's accessories: The rebozo is much longer than I thought but I've seen pictures on how it could be used. I love the necklace, hankerchief and the little leather pouch. A+

3. Licorice's Best Friend outfit: The dress is very sweet and I like how it has little cap sleeves. The white jacket is really well made and it could go with so many other pieces. The shoes are nice and they stay on the dolls feet without slipping off! A

4. Felicity's Travel Gown (for my daughter): It's a very lovely lavender colour and the trim is very nice. The fabric is silkier than I thought. I love the fabric that is used for the cap. It sits nicely on Felicity's head. A+
