Re-wig or send to doll hostipal

My Samantha is going Bald!!! You can see the wig cap(or whatever its called). I am really worried. Should i send for a new head at the doll hostipal or should i try to re-wig her. please i need help.

How old is your Samantha? The problem with sending old dolls in for new heads is that sometimes the new head is either a differnet shade or disporportional (sp?) to the limbs. You can always trying rewigging her first, and it that doesn't work, send her in.

I've heard the older Felicity and Samantha dolls had wigs that were sparce in spots and you could see the cap if you parted their hair differently than their normal hair styles.

I was told that if the head IS a different color, they replace the limbs free, so that they match.

well my sam isn't an older sam she's from 2002-2003. and i've never re-wig a doll is it hard

I would compare the cost to rewig vs. the hospital (don't forget you get the hospital gown and balloon).

If you like the American Girl wigs I would send her in. If you don't care if it's the "official" wig and it's more cost effective than rewig her.

I, myself, would send her in.
