I need you super sleuths out there to help me. My beloved 94 year old grandmother fell and is in the hospital and will have to go to a nursing home for rehab for awhile. It's unlikely she'll be able to return home, at least not alone, and I'd love to get her a doll for company. She LOVES dolls but only ever had one real one of her own, which broke on the way from Italy to America. I'd like to find a bald/bad hair brown-eyed AG for cheap (because I'm broke) to fix up and make into me as a child for her. She may not have much time left to enjoy her doll but I want to give her one for whatever time she has left. Keep your eyes peeled and PM me if you see anyone who might do!

Robin, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope you find a doll for her. I know my grandmother was happy to have her beloved childhood doll fixed up during her last months of life.

Thanks everyone. My grandmother was doing well today and almost her old self. Tomorrow she has to have surgery and then we'll see what happens. It would be awesome if we could have her childhood doll restore but it is long gone Laura, your greandmother was lucky and I'm sure she and her doll were happy to be reuinited!
