Question

I really want to create an 18in doll version of Amelia from Amelia's Notebooks. I know ideally she would be AGT 10(with a haircut of course) but those are hard to find especially at a decent price. Do you think AGT 19 could work as Amelia? I already have her so all she'd need is a haircut. I can ask my friend (who has cut my hair more than once) to cut her hair like Amelia.

So what do you guys think?

I think #19 would make a Amelia! In some of her books, I saw her hair was light brown.

I think that would work. Also, if you found some other doll with green eyes for a good price, you could try rewigging her, and then you could select just about the exact hairstyle you want.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I don't know the first thing about rewigging dolls. Things like rewigging, sewing doll clothes, restringing, haircuts, Downy Dunk, etc. are beyond my relm of experience. I guess I missed that course, ADVANCED DOLL CARE 201. I don't trust myself to even cut her hair myself, that's why I'd ask my friend who does know how to cut hair.

I wouldn't "ruin" Allison because I thought she was special to you. I would look for another doll to make Amelia. Unless for some reason, you want to "move on" from whatever Allison was to you. I would think about it for a few weeks.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree with that. I guess I didn't realize how special she was to me. Maybe I'll get lucky and find an AGT 10 or an OG or some other similar doll that looks like AGT 10.

Rewigging a doll is probably easier then a haircut -- and, if you cut a doll's hair and you don't like it, you're sunk!

Check JustMagic for rewigging instructions. It's really not that hard.
