A Good Scalper Story

I'm at work on Sunday when I get paged to take a call for the manager. There's a woman on the phone that says,

"I talked to one of your employees and she told me you have 31 NBA 'figurines' in stock. I've been on the road for over an hour and I want you to get all the cases and have them ready when I come in."

Well, now. The cases are buried in the back I say and it make take awhile.

"That's fine", she says. " I have to have some of those 'dolls' and I don't care how long it takes you, just find them !! I'll buy all three cases. My name is Angel and I'm on the way."

So, this young woman shows up with her Grateful Dead bandana wearing boyfriend. I get out the cases and she goes,

" I sure do love seeing that McFarlane logo on those boxes."

Then her expression quickly turns sour as she yells.

"These boxes have already been opened !!"

No shit, bitch. I actually love that logo more than you do, and I'm not going to scalp the 'figurines' !!!

She left everything in the middle of the aisle and left empty handed.

If she had a clue she's know that if there are 12 in a case and we have 31, some are already gone.

Oh, I also love pulling variants aside for a few days and hiding them from first day scalpers and then putting them out on the pegs so someone can just 'stumble onto them'.

Todd should make a line of 'figurines' based on our descriptions of the scalpers we have delt with.

Monsters Series 7
"SCALPERS"

Bob: "The Blob"
Helen: "The Hag"
Frankie: "The Fanboy"
Bill: "E-bay Bill"
and a box set with a scalper and 2 crying kids.

Each sclper would come with an mini unopended Box of Mcfarlane toys and one MOC scale fig of a Hard to find figure from a diffrent line.

The box set comes with sound chip in sclper that says "you snooze yuo lose"
