Question

Ok, here's the old standard: you're stranded on a desert island and can only have 10 CDs. Which 10 do you want? Live recordings and "greatest hits" compilations are fair game. And remember, this <u>isn't</u> a "10 greatest/best CDs of all time" list, it's which 10 CDs would you want.... even if they're totally cheesy/guilty pleasures!

Here's my 10, in no particular order:

</font><ul type="square">[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The Who - Who's Better, Who's Best?</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Metallica - S&M</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Guns 'n Roses - Greatest Hits</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">KISS - Unplugged</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The Beatles - 1962-1966</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">UNION - UNION</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Greatest Hits</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Pat Benatar - Greatest Hits</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique</font>[*]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Cranberries - Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can't We?</font>
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="1">Sorry Peeker, MUNG just missed in the 11th spot. ...I hate doing these. Oh well, I am bored:

1-Lacuna Coil: Unleashed Memories U.S. version, including Halflife EP (see? Sneaky. 2 albums in one! HA!)

2-Concrete Blonde: Recollection (Best of)

3-Rob Zombie: Past, Present and Future

4-Type O Negative: October Rust

5-Dimmu Borgir: Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia

6-Harry Belafonte: The Very Best of (shut up. Just shut...the fuck...up.)

7-Soil: Scars

8-Rasputina: A Radical Recital

9-Garbage: Version 2.0

10-Slayer: Reign in Blood

...there. That seems relatively well-rounded...

I'm gonna put alot of "best ofs" but I like so many kinds of music, that I'd need it to keep me pretty entertained on a Desert Island:

Police - "Message in a Box" (Complete Recordings)
Hendrix - "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" (box set)
NIN - "And All That Could Have Been"
Marvin Gaye - "The Very Best Of"
Prince - "Sign of the Times"
AC/DC - "Bonfire"
Buddy Guy - "Baddest: Best of Buddy Guy"
Van Halen - "Fair Warning" (yes, even over their debut.)
Queen - "Greatest Hits, Vol 1&2" (you can buy it packaged )
Jimmy Buffett - "Meet Me in Margaritaville" (seriously, can you think of anything that would be better to kick back and drink your fermented coconut juice to? )

I omitted a ton (Mozart, Bob Marley, Judas Priest, the Clash, Van Morrison, Santana, many other rock and metal bands....) but the ones above would be the first 10 selections I would have to take.
