I think although it coudl be a double standard, there is a difference.... with an older male teacher, he's more likely to force himself on her, when it's a hot older broad... the teenage kid's most likely not gonna say "no" or be held down... blackmailed, maybe.... but he knows he'd do it anyways!

Sorry to say - I have no clue as to what the big deal is.
If I thought what she had done would 'scar' that boy for life, or harm his psyche in some way, I could understand the outrage. Puh-leeze. When this kid is eighty years old, sitting on a rocker on the porch of the old folk's home, he's going to recount over and over again how he banged the hot teacher in the classroom. She has provided him with possible the biggest highlight of his whole life.
Now, when a girl is involved that young, is it different? Yes, because sex is a very different emotional situation for MOST girls than it is for MOST boys. A man can take advantage of a young girls desire for affection, attention, maturity, and sense of belonging to coerce sex. This teacher didn't have to take advantage of anything - this boy wanted exactly what she wanted, hot sweaty monkey sex. A man can destroy a young girl's self esteem and sense of self worth by coercing her into sex at a young age - this boy's self esteem is now set on the top of the meter for the rest of his life.
And while his age is 13, I suspect he's a bit 'mature' for his age, since he's the star of the basketball team.

come on, 13 is too young. good god whats next preschoolers? I can see that its wrong and a 13 year old cant make an informed decision. So maybe I'm old fashion but I find it fucked up both ways when the kid is underaged.
