Hey everyone.
Just got my power back after a week and wanted to say hey.
Everything and everyone is safe & sound.
What's been going on?
Did I miss anything?
Are all of our Lousiana/Mississippi/Alabama members accounted for?

Since some don't put their real location, it's hard to tell. Just figured I'd ask, just in case.
The power just came back on at my place, but I've been staying with my mom & dad at our restaurant, since it's had power since Sunday. Been watching the news and my heart's been going out to the folks out in Louisiana and Mississippi.
After Andrew down here, I can sympathize.

Yeah.
We got off VERY VERY lucky.
Stuff was fucked up, but it was still there when the storm passed.
Had Katrina had an extra 24-36 hours in the Atlantic, Miami would've been wiped off the map. The eye passed right over us (South Miami/Coral Gables: Andrew's ORIGINAL predicted path in 1992), so everything around me would've been reduced to debris. Since we're also below sea level, we would've flooded-- though not to the extent New Orleans did.
What a difference a day makes.

A guy I know from a Guitar board says that everything he owns now totals, His cat, 3 shirts, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of shoes, 1 photo album, and 2 guitars.
His house is gone... his car is gone... and everything else he owned.
He lived a mile off Canal street.
