When sideshow put the bigass statue of Sauron up for pre-order, I completely missed the boat and didn't get to order one in time. Every site I went to after that was also sold out for their pre-orders. Damn, I thought. I'll have to either live without sauron, or get it on ebay for an exhorbitant price.
Without hoping much, I requested to be put on their wait list. Then, the other day, I noticed they'd added a new feature..a wait-list order button for Sauron, that placed an actual order rather than just e-mailing their wait list people and saying "pretty please". Apparently several statues had become available due to canceled credit cards.
So, I figured "eh, what the hell" and clicked the order button.
I just got an e-mail stating that a statue has become available, and my reservation would be converting to an order as of the 9th of this month. I'll be getting a Sauron. HA!
I wonder what free gift I'll be getting with that one... [img]tongue.gif[/img]
