I was about to say your nuts for spending $300 on something like that, and then realized that I just spent near $700 on something for my other collection.

I wouldn't... but my opinion doesn't really count because I'm not a big enough fan.

I'm a pretty big star wars fan, and believe me, it's REALLY hard justifying that price for something that's just going to sit there and collect dust.

Here's a pic of the fx version of the saber I want - http://www.rebelscum.com/gallery/mr-...-05/image2.asp

It's not exactly the same (due to the electronics inside), but I think I'm going to wait for now before plunking down a ton of cash on just the hilt...

I could MAKE you one for probably less then 100.. Granted it wouldn't be an exact replica (I have yet to make me one myself, probably won't till after Feb/March) or if you're any good with a dremel tool, I could give you the instructions to build one.. It's made out of a buncha household stuff you can get from Lowes/Home Depot/Radio Shack/walMart

for me, no, not that much. I did see one at Best Buy that had the blade and sound that was fun. It was around 100 bucks. I thought about that one.

Now if they made one that would really work, well, thats a given

ehhh...no. But I'm not the star wars fan, Adam is. I did buy him the Force FX anakin and darth vader sabers from Borders last year when they were on sale for something like $80 each, but I don't think I'd buy him a $300 saber hilt.
