As opposed to the Tommy James debacle today, I got the stunning new CD by the EELS. This CD was recorded live at Town Hall in June of 2005. If you've followed the band, you'll know that they're basically never the same twice. For this show they have a small string section. The bands originals sound great and there are some killer covers of 'Pretty Ballerina', 'Girl From the North Country', and 'Poor Side of Town'.

A great recording. Now I have to get the DVD of the concert.

They did the song "novocaine for the soul", didn't they? I think that may be all I've ever really heard from them...
