I think a 30/45 minute drive to reach the beach is close enough with a hurricane. And there is absolutely no telling with hurricanes or tornado's what they will do. I said I have no place to go, meaning outside the state if they evacuate us. Most people have family outside the state, or know of somewhere to go.

the only part that is bad as far as water goes is the shoreline... inland can get bad but the water never comes in that close and if you meant out of state you should have said so you made it sound like you had nowhere to go here.... we are gonna get it regardless and the people i know in mobile homes have already made arrangements for places to go. you should be doing the same... common sense should tell you to take precautions.....
